reflection task 1-b

Hello everybody, I want to introduce you to Selçuk Balcı whose voice I really enjoy while listening. I have chosen him to introduce to you because his voice and songs make me feel moved. When I listen to his songs, I feel like home.

Let's talk about him. He was in 1988 in Çayeli,Rize. I mean he is from The Black Sea Region of Turkey. I want to gloss some information in connection with this subject. The music of The Black Sea Region of Turkey and the kemancha are an inseperable whole. In other words, they are two sides of the same coin. Selçuk Balcı really likes not only the music of The Black Sea Region of Turkey but also the kemancha. He learned the kemancha in his high school years. He has not written off the kemancha since then.

As you guess, he composes of his songs in company wtih the kemancha. He always represents unique localness of The Black Sea Region of Turkey at his performance and personality in a successful way. He has his typical style of playing the kemancha. He can appeal to more and more crowded audience thanks to his ability.

Also, he has an album called "Patika". It was released in July 2011. I think it is pretty good.

Burger King

I used to eat all burgers
No one would eat them when using up all of them
Now in the morning I'm mot sleeping
When I was king of the burger, I used to sleep in the mornings.
I used to sleep..
Listen as the crowd would be here
Now no one is here
One minute I'm alone.
next I will be alone
I discovered that while I was eating all burgers myself, there was nothing to eat burger for my public.

reflection task 1a

Hello, I'm Çağla Akın. I'm 28. I'm from Artvin. I got my high school education in Artvin Anatolia Teacher Training High School. I graduated from Department of Foreign Language Education in Middle East Techinal University. I had unforgettable days. My first year in METU was excellent because I was at Prep School. It was like a holiday. I had all opportunities in METU. To illustrate, I went to England through Erasmus Programme for six months. I attended a lot of different social clubs. Thanks to METU, I have so many foreign friends. I learned French and Spanish in METU. I love France. And now, I am at France. I'm thinking of living in France for a while. I'm interested in translation. Also, I'm writing a novel. I like writing. I'm pleased with my life because I'm doing things which I really like. I really enjoy while I'm exploring the beautiful and interesting place in France. I try to make new friends. I want to have kind-hearted and trustworthy friends. Furthermore, the friends must introduce to me French culture. If you want to guide me, you can contact with me. I'm waiting. :)

IMAGINE

Imagine there is no chocolate
It's incredible if you imagine
No sweat below us
Above us only salt
Imagine all the people
Eating salt for everytime

Imagine there's no cake
It isn't possible to live
Nothing to survive or struggle
And no cake cream too
Imagine all the people
Eating biscuit all time

You may say I'm a chocoholic
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll agree with us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no cookie
I try if you can
No need for syrup or candy
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Eating these food

You may say I'm a chocoholic
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll agree with us
And the world will be as one.

homework of parallelism

Our beagle loves to hunt. When someone opens the back door for her, she barrels down porch steps into the yard and runs back and forth across the lawn in ecstasy. Her nose cruises the wet grass for smells which are smells of cats, rabbit smells, and other presences too subtle for human detection. When she sniffs, she spins her tail in quick circles. It spins clockwise first and then it spins counterclockwise. These two activities sniffing and spinning always occur together. Therefore, they seem to propel her along.

# The Government Printing Office in Washington D.C. , which few people know about it, is a source of much useful information. It is the official publishing house for the federal government. The GPO publishes pampleths and books on a vast number of subjects ranging from the dangers of X-rays from home TV sets to the identification of mushrooms. About 27.000 publications are offered through the Superintendent of Documents. While many of them are inexpensive, there is no charge at all for some.

# John Jacob Astor, who reaped America's first fortune, was a German immigrant. Because of being lowborn and uneducated, he made his initial money trading Indian furs. Astor never learned to speak English properly. Thus, he carried on his business to the end in an accent which was redolent of the Hamburg gutters.
